Our intention is to have our main story arcs extend to four seasons. The show begins as a crime drama that evolves into more science-fiction and supernatural elements.

TFMG is a story driven show where characters will have to react to all kinds of different situations. As the show unfolds, more supernatural events will begin to envelope the city. Because, underneath the county’s bedrock, lies an incredible power source. Psychic manifestations increase in frequency, and suggest that this darkness is slowly gaining strength. While the criminal enterprises affect all of the citizens of Maple Grove, soon we discover that even the crime families are controlled by more sinister, supernatural forces. As the seasons advance, the source of these paranormal events will be introduced; a network of crystal caves that spiders out underneath Maple Grove county. The crystals are a psychic battery, a growing entity which amplifies the life forces of the inhabitants in the city above them. The city is becoming a supernatural amplifier to people’s baser instincts.

In Season One, Tales From Maple Grove highlights a series of criminal stories which diversify into character studies and paranormal encounters. Season Two of Tales From Maple Grove delves into darker themes, where the stakes are raised higher for our residents. During Seasons One observant viewers will notice the strange and paranormal elements invading the day-to-day lives of Maple Grove residents. Maple Grove will be highlighted as a focal point for the evil ambitions of its residents and as an amplifier for paranormal events. Is Maple Grove a place or a state of mind? Why does it appear that the size and geography of the city can change without warning? Is Maple Grove a portal where time can be altered? Because, underneath the city is a network of crystal caves feeding off a subterranean power as well as the psychic energy from those living above. For a millennium, the First Nations communities have called the area that is now Maple Grove “Crazy Earth”. And those that fall prey to the power’s dark energy are called Two-Hearted Men. In Season Two, these and other psychic manifestations increase in frequency, and suggest that this darkness is slowly gaining strength. By the end of the series, it may gain enough power to gobble up Maple Grove and erase it from existence. Could the darkness that is spreading throughout Maple Grove county, also be infecting nearby surrounding counties? Or is the portal, slowly gaining in strength, building enough power to gobble up the “Little City by the Water” and erase it from existence? The third and fourth seasons will allow episodes to move into more unnatural and surreal events which entangle our fair city of Maple Grove and its recurring characters. The portal is spreading and causing parallel realities to overlap into each other, potentially sending the city, and then the world, off its axis. The criminal roots of Maple Grove, planted 100 years earlier by Lester The Lush… are growing, feeding off the power of the portal. Where the roots spread will be decided in seasons three and four.
