Tales From Maple Grove
is a new series that follows multiple characters trying to make their way in a city where the odds always seem to be stacked against them.
The show is about a place and the effect it has on its citizens and visitors. The show’s appeal will be for viewers who like to see characters getting placed into precarious scenarios, and who have to use their ingenuity as well as help from friends and loved ones, to surmount the odds against them.
The tone and style will vary from episode to episode depending on the story and situation. The viewer will be dropped into a world that is both familiar and surprising, delivering to them a complete story per episode.
The series will feature an ensemble cast who will play different roles in each episode. The mayor in one episode can be a dishwasher at the pub for the next, allowing viewers to get to know the actors as well as their characters.
While this might seem confusing for your standard TV series structure, loyal viewers will be rewarded in the second and third seasons, when storylines come together to answer all of their questions.
The first season will introduce the viewers to the city and its main locations, taking them on a variety of adventures, incorporating diverse styles as comedy, romance, film noir and science fiction. While each episode will introduce the audience to new characters in their own stories, they will be supported by the ensemble cast.
